AboutThe Role
Reporting to the Head of DC Administration, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of a DC Member Administration team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, efficient and compliant service.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting three key objectives:
- Driving operational efficiency and profitability
- Supporting long-term sustainability through investment in people, clients and systems
This position offers a balance of operational management, strategic development, people leadership, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a specialist DC administration team
- Drive quality assurance initiatives and service improvements
- Manage complaints and ensure effective resolution processes
- Mentor and support Administration Managers and Deputy Managers
- Oversee resource planning, recruitment, performance management and employee development
- Ensure compliance with pension legislation, governance requirements and internal quality standards
- Support client relationship management and attend client meetings where required
- Contribute to new business activities, including tender responses and client presentations
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, systems and efficiencies
- Support strategic business change projects and implementation of new ways of working
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the wider business
- Extensive experience within Defined Contribution (DC) pensions administration. Knowledge of DC Master Trust Governance requirements would be desirable but not essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of DC member administration and complex pension queries
- Proven track record of managing and developing administration teams
- Previous line management experience, including performance management, recruitment and employee development
- Strong understanding of pension administration best practice and quality frameworks
- Experience contributing to business development activities, proposals and client presentations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
