We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable, and high‑performing network environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex technical environments, enjoys ownership, and is committed to delivering robust and scalable network solutions.

This is a hybrid position based at our welcoming offices in Reading
, with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement secure network architecture deploy LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN solutions.
  • Take ownership of secure, high-performance network environments across internal systems and managed customer environments, liaising directly with the MNO’s Technical Leads.
  • Ensuring all installations via SWC’s are as per LLD, directly responsible for validating this part of the delivery.
  • Optimise network architecture for high availability, redundancy, and scalability.
  • Experience of Telecoms Security Act and how hardware choices and configuration impacts TSA compliance
  • Ensuring that TSA compliance is maintained via audits and updating other teams such as legal, IT to ensure a consistent approach across all domains
  • Responsible for the scaling & upgrade designs for the data centre for Neutral Host In-building Solutions
  • Network Operations & Troubleshooting
  • Monitor and maintain network performance using NMS tools (e.g., Solar Winds)
  • Perform regular security audits, risk assessments, and penetration tests

Experience
  • Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS
  • Hands‑on experience with Fortinet (e.g. Forti Gate, Fortinet SD‑WAN solutions, Forti Analyzer) and Core network infrastructure (Cisco focus)
  • Knowledge of firewall rules, VPNs, and security protocols
  • Familiarity with global networks in regulated or tightly controlled environments
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Forti Manager, Solar Winds, Wireshark, SNMP, etc.).
