Our client, a well:established and growing manufacturing business based in Reading, is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join their leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving safety culture, ensuring compliance, and shaping best practice across a busy production environment.

As a specialist recruitment agency partnering with this organisation, we are looking for a proactive, confident professional who can operate both strategically and hands:on on the shop floor.

Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for leading all health and safety activities across the site, ensuring full compliance with UK legislation and industry standards.

• Leading and promoting a positive health and safety culture across the manufacturing facility
• Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and maintaining ISO standards where applicable
• Conducting risk assessments, audits, and accident investigations
• Developing and delivering health and safety training across all levels
• Reviewing and updating policies and procedures
• Acting as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors
• Providing regular performance reports to senior leadership

• Proven experience in a Health and Safety role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma desirable)
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
• Experience conducting internal audits and leading investigations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• A proactive, solutions:focused approach

• Salary between GBP 45,000 : GBP 50,000 depending on experience
