Part‑time 08:00 – 15:00

Must have Safety Boots and Hi‑Vis clothing.

As a Waste Segregation Officer you will contribute to an established company dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of our clients by optimizing waste segregation and recycling. The role involves organising customer waste into the correct recycling and non‑recycling bin locations and liaising with customers to resolve any issues.

• Organise customer waste from bin bags into the correct recycling and non‑recycling bins.
• Assist with loading and unloading of waste containers using safe lifting techniques.
• Operate waste handling equipment safely, including compactors and balers.
• Conduct routine inspections of waste storage areas and report potential hazards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of waste areas.
• Follow health and safety protocols to minimise risk linked to heavy lifting and machinery.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise waste‑management processes and improve operational efficiency.

• Reliability, good communication skills and willingness to help customers create a cleaner environment.
• Excellent attention to detail when organising waste.
• Previous experience in the waste industry or with waste‑management equipment – desirable but not essential.
• Experience dealing with customers face‑to‑face – desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with waste handling equipment – a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks throughout the shift.
• Proactive attitude towards safety and environmental standards.
