Production Operative

Rapid Personnel are recruiting for Production Operator in Thatcham (near Newbury) to help produce award winning dressings, condiments, and marinades for one of the UK's leading food manufacturers responsible for various well-known household brands.

This is a long term position and after 12 weeks you will be offered a permanent contract with the company directly. If you are looking for job security, then consider joining the largest manufacturing sector.

Please note that this position involves a large amount of heavy lifting therefore we are only seeking candidates that are able to complete these type of duties.

• Rotating shifts – Monday to Friday 07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00 – £13.30 per hour; 37.5 hours per week.
• Static night shift – Sunday to Thursday 23:00-07:00 – £14.30 per hour; 37.5 hours per week.
• Immediate starts are available.

• Maintaining a safe work environment and monitoring equipment.
• Ensuring that the weights, vacuum, torque and codes for each product are correct.
• Ensuring that the labels and packaging are correct for the product.
• Carrying out and understanding cleaning procedures.
• Changing over machines for product and line changes.
• Manufacturing the product to the required specification, in a quality and hygienic manner.
• Carrying out safety checks on the machinery.
• Following established rules and procedures.
• Lifting weight up to 20 kilograms.
