Group Activities Development Co-ordinator – closing date

We are looking for an excellent organiser and facilitator to oversee development of our group activities for the next 12 months and probably beyond.

Age UK Reading run a series of different group activities ranging from a coffee morning to therapeutic dementia groups. This role sits above them, line-managing staff and volunteers, problem solving and improving the services. There is an emphasis on therapeutic dementia groups, so a background in dementia is advantageous but not essential. We need someone who is able to take responsibility for the smooth running of services for vulnerable groups of older people, bringing a level of enthusiasm and passion for the service and a strong desire to improve the lives of older people in Reading.
