Staff Nurse - Hopkins Ward (Urology Elective & Emergency Ward)

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for the Band 5 Staff Nurse role in the 21‑bedded Hopkins Urology Ward.

We care for elective urology admissions and emergency cases through A&E and our urology clinic. The role involves delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care, teaching junior staff, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team with a strong focus on patient safety.

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans for a diverse patient group.
• Provide and evaluate nursing care independently, ensuring accountability for all aspects of care.
• Teach, supervise and support junior staff, student nurses and the non‑registered nursing workforce.
• Act as a role model, delivering care with empathy, compassion and professionalism.

• Registered Nurse – Part 1
• Current NMC registration
• Evidence of recent continuous professional development
• Experience in an acute clinical environment (through placement or employment)

• Experience in a urology speciality is an advantage.
