Community Palliative Care Nurse (RGN)

Up to £51,000 per year (pro rata for part-time, Depending on experience and Non-Medical Prescribing qualification)

Full Time or Part Time | Day & Night Shifts | Permanent

Providing palliative care is about far more than delivering clinical treatment - It's about offering reassurance, compassion, and dignity at one of the most important times in a person's life.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join a dedicated Community Palliative Care Team, supporting patients with complex palliative and end-of-life care needs. Working across community and hospice settings, you'll deliver expert clinical care while providing emotional support to patients and their families, helping them remain as comfortable and independent as possible.

What We're Looking For
  • Active NMC registration as an RGN
    .
  • A minimum of two years' post-registration experience.
  • Previous experience in palliative or end-of-life care is essential.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A compassionate, empathetic approach with a genuine commitment to delivering person-centred care.

Your Role
  • Deliver high-quality palliative and end-of-life nursing care to patients in community and hospice settings.
  • Assess patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs, developing and reviewing individualised care plans.
  • Safely manage medications and symptom control, including the use of syringe drivers.
  • Respond to telephone enquiries, providing appropriate clinical advice and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to coordinate seamless, high-quality care.
  • Support patients and their families with compassion, dignity, and clear communication throughout their care journey.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with NMC standards and organisational policies.
  • Contribute to maintaining the highest standards of clinical care and continuous service improvement.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, an enhanced DBS check, verification of the right to work in the UK, and any other pre-employment checks required for the role.
