Quality Inspector (Sheet Metal & Precision Engineering)

Reading

Salary:
Circa £32,000 DOE (reviewed after 6 months)

Hours:

4 day week:
Monday – Thursday (07:00 – 16:45)

• Carry out first‑off, in‑process and final inspections.
• Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Inspect components against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use a range of measuring equipment to verify product quality.
• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
• Support production teams in maintaining quality standards.
• Assist with non‑conformance investigations when required.

• Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or similar position.
• Knowledge of sheet metal and/or machined part inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience producing FAIR documentation.
• Good computer literacy skills.
• CMM knowledge would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and quality‑focused approach.

• Salary: circa £32,000, with a six‑month salary review.
• Monday – Thursday, 07:00 – 16:45.
• 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
