Role Description

The Trainee Lettings Negotiator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Reading. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the lettings team with property viewings, liaising with prospective tenants and landlords, and assisting in the negotiation of tenancy terms. The role involves updating property listings, managing enquiries, and ensuring accurate documentation is prepared and maintained. The Trainee Lettings Negotiator will also help coordinate move-ins and renewals, provide high-quality customer service, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the lettings department.

Training and guidance will be provided to develop professional skills within residential lettings and estate agency.

Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with landlords and tenants.
  • Interest or basic knowledge in estate agency and property management, including landlord/tenant matters.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced on-site environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail.
  • Proficient IT skills, including use of email, property databases, and standard office software.
  • Willingness to learn, positive attitude, and a professional, reliable approach to work.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly beneficial for attending property viewings.
  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles or property-related environments is an advantage but not essential.
