The RSSL Food Sciences Routine Biology laboratory performs a wide range of analytical analyses for a variety of food, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies and supports Mondelez research and innovation. The role requires the analyst to perform a range of routing analysis such as WGS, ELISA, PCR, etc. and routine lab admin and housekeeping tasks, ensuring contractual deliverables and reporting in accordance with quality standards.

• Provide high quality customer service by ensuring effective organisation of workload, integrity of analytical data and timely provision of results.
• Perform routine sample tasks (logging, preparation, disposal) under supervision.
• Conduct routine PCR analysis under supervision.
• Execute pipette calibration and data checking and operate basic lab equipment.
• Use Laboratory LIMS and Q‑Pulse software.
• Provide training in routine sample preparation.
• Perform lab admin and housekeeping duties.
• Work in different laboratories as required.
• Work as part of an efficient analytical team.
• Maintain safety and quality standards (COSHH, risk assessments, SOPs, GMP, UKAS).
• Complete quality actions promptly and assist with SOP documentation.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment.
• Ensure training records are accurate.

• Educated to A/HNC level in a relevant scientific discipline.

• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Computer literate in standard MS Office applications.

• English fluency (written and spoken).
