Night Chef — Part-time. Department:
Supply Chain and Operations (Non Driver or Operative Roles). Compensation: up to GBP 20,019 per year.
Reading - Chef - Night Shift - Part time
Salary: £20,019
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 20:30 till 2:30am
Hours:
24 per week
- Prepare food ingredients and assist in the cooking process.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary food preparation area.
- Cook simple meals for up to 150 internal colleagues per shift.
- Assist in planning menus and setting up catering events as required.
- Rota organisation and general kitchen coordination.
- Undertake cashier duties and operate a till for contactless payments.
- Collaborate with the team to clean and wash up in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Previous kitchen experience in cooking and food handling in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment.
- Ability to quickly learn new skills in the kitchen and on computer systems (Microsoft Office).
- Level 3 in Food Safety Supervision for catering and Level 2 HACCP.
- Customer service skills.
- Card payment experience is advantageous but not essential; basic training can be provided.
- Desire to learn and contribute, with problem-solving and a positive can-do attitude.
