Second Chef - Bank - Care Home

This is a temporary position as a Second Chef at a care home operated by Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. The role involves working alongside the Head Chef to create nutritious and flavorful meals for the residents, with a focus on using fresh, seasonal produce. The successful candidate will have a personable and warm approach, experience in leading a team, and a good understanding of nutrition and HACCP.

As a Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will have the opportunity to work in a care home setting, delivering hotel/restaurant standards without the long hours and split shifts typical of the hospitality industry. You will assist the Head Chef in developing menus, working with fresh seasonal ingredients to create high-quality, wholesome dishes. The role also involves managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, helping to create a warm and efficient environment, working within budget, and leading and motivating a team of kitchen staff.
