Food & Beveridge Assistant

IKEA Reading are looking to welcome Food and Beverage Assistants to join our delightful and hardworking team.

A food co-worker at IKEA helps prepare and serve food, ensures cleanliness and safety in dining areas, and provides friendly customer service in the restaurant.

• Start date of employment will be:
  Thursday the 12th of March
• Competitive hourly rate of £14.15 per hour.
• 16 and 24hrs contract working 3/4 days per week and includes weekends. You will receive every 4th weekend off.
• 39hrs working 5 days over 7 with every 2nd weekend off.
• We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

All interviews will take place on the 25th of February.

• While previous food and customer service experience can be beneficial, we are open to candidates who demonstrate a readiness to be actively involved in the work.
• Ability to work in an extremely fast‑paced environment.
• Be self‑reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
• Ability to remain organised and detail‑oriented, even when things get busy.
• Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.

• The role will involve a variety of tasks, where you will be required to serve food, take payment at tills, clean and clear the restaurant and work behind the scenes to prepare food.
• Customer focused, by working together to create the best customer experience. Listen, act, and exceed their expectations every day.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co‑workers.
