Job Description

We are looking for a talented and passionate Indian Cuisine Sous Chef to join our hotel restaurant kitchen. Working alongside the Head Chef, you will help deliver authentic, high-quality Indian cuisine while maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and kitchen operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef who is passionate about traditional and contemporary Indian cuisine and enjoys working in a busy hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present authentic North and South Indian dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate junior kitchen staff.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise food waste.
  • Support menu development and seasonal specials.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in an Indian restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Indian cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • A positive attitude and strong teamwork ethic.
