We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Food and Beverage Team Member at Sonning Gardens Care Home in Reading. If this sounds like the place for you, we’d love to hear from you!

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member is to support the dining service and assist residents with their meals.

• Supporting residents with choosing their meal options when dining.
• Ensuring SOPs for setting dining tables.
• Keeping the front of the house clean, tidy, and well-presented, and ensuring dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas and replenished throughout the day, as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of residents’ dietary requirements.

To succeed in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all you do.

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Having experience working in a similar setting, restaurant, or hotel would be desirable.
• A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of culinary services to residents.
