Shop Assistant

Responsibilities

• Maintain, handle and replenish stock throughout the store, ensuring all stock is displayed professionally and orderly.
• Maintain a responsible, safe and professional manner at all times.
• Engage and interact with all customers in a welcoming, friendly, professional manner creating a positive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the product range sold by Korea Foods Company, and offer advice on promotional products when appropriate.
• Ensure the store maintains a safe and hygienic environment at all times through general cleaning as you fulfil your regular duties.
• Provide administrative support when needed.
• Be vigilant for potential shoplifters, raising issues with store management.
• Perform any other reasonable management requests.

• Able to lift mid-heavy goods weighing 20 kg and over.
• Fluency in any of the following languages would be beneficial:
  Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Thai or Vietnamese.
• Valid UK working permit.
• Ability to work flexibly within a team or alone.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations pertaining to your role.
• Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills.

We import from key Korean brands and distribute to the Asian community, focusing on East Asian consumers. We have seen substantial growth within supermarket multiples, securing listings with Tesco, Morrisons, Asda and Costco.

We operate our own retail store network, Seoul Plaza, with 21 stores in the estate and more openings planned in 2026.
