£12.79 per hour
As a Shop Supervisor at Sue Ryder Woodley you will support the Shop Manager in running the store, lead and manage volunteers, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Use retail experience to drive business, push sales, and achieve targets.
- Lead a team of volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Generate donated stock by engaging with the local community.
- Recruit, train and retain a volunteer team.
- Maintain high standards of merchandising, housekeeping and health & safety.
- Manage stock processes and ensure fresh, seasonal stock is displayed.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder and support in‑store campaigns.
- Operate the Epos system and manage cash handling.
Essential Criteria
- Customer service experience.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Cash handling/till work.
- Basic IT skills (email, instant messaging, video calls).
- Organisational skills.
- Lone working experience.
- High‑street retail, leisure or hospitality background.
- KPI and target experience.
- Experience in charity retail.
- Health & safety knowledge.
- Team player attitude.
- Key holder/opening and closing responsibilities.
- Merchandising/stock rotation skills.
- 27 days holiday rising to 33 with length of service, plus bank holidays (pro rata if part‑time).
