Regional Sales Manager | £50,000 - £55,000 + company car + bonuses | South Central Territory

My client, a well-established supplier within their sector, is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join their growing sales team on a permanent basis. This field-based role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and managing a regional territory with autonomy.

Responsibilities

Drive sales growth across the assigned region, achieving agreed revenue and margin targets
Build and maintain strong relationships with builders’ merchants, landscapers, and trade customers
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the territory
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close and aftersales support
Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and customer information within the CRM system
Plan and manage customer visits, product presentations, and promotional activity across the region
Work closely with internal departments to ensure a high level of customer service
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management
Skills

Proven experience in a field-based sales role, ideally within construction, building materials, or a related industry
Experience selling through builders’ merchants and working with professional trade customers
Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
Self-motivated and confident managing an independent regional territory
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines and customer activity
Commercially aware with a proactive and strategic sales approach
