Relationship Manager Role

Our Relationship Managers provide dedicated support to every customer who opens an account, building deep levels of understanding and trust. They work across Allica's product suite – Business Current Accounts, Savings Accounts, Commercial Loans, Asset Finance and Working Capital Facilities – and actively develop new business while maintaining strong networks of trusted SME advisors.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of SME customers, understanding their needs and business aspirations, and identifying opportunities to support them through Allica Bank services and external networks.
  • Originate SME lending opportunities for both existing and new customers, from initial enquiry to completion, including writing credit papers in line with Allica's credit policy and appetite.
  • Deliver the business plan for your local area, actively managing objectives and personal development.
  • Represent Allica in your local area, ensuring excellent service for SME customers, prospects and advisors.
  • Collaborate with all areas of Allica to ensure a seamless and professional service.
  • Contribute positively to Allica's culture, always demonstrating the bank's values.
  • Comply with all mandatory policies and operational procedures to maintain internal controls.
Qualifications
  • Long‑term track record of building high‑value, trust‑based referral relationships.
  • Strong understanding of SME banking, including a background in commercial lending.
  • History of exemplary service and maximizing value for prospects and customers.
  • Passion for SMEs, a self‑starter attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with evidence of strong career progression or out performance.
  • Experience structuring new lending proposals and writing credit applications.
  • Proven ability to provide excellent customer service and generate new income while effectively managing credit risk.
  • Ability to analyse and review financial accounts and related information.
