Who are we looking for?We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff and visitors on site. The role involves applying thorough access control procedures, carrying out site inductions, planned and ad‑hoc site patrols and any other duties as determined by the Assignment Instructions. In the event of an emergency, the officer will follow prescribed escalation procedures with Site Management, Corps colleagues and emergency services.
Hours:
an average of 42 hours per week covering days and nights with a shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off (0600‑1800 and 1800‑0600).

- A valid SIA Front‑Line License – essential.
- A valid SIA CCTV License – desirable.
- Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g., Excel).
- Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards and DV Clearance Standards.
- Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
- Ensure all visitors and contractors are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
- Record the entry and exit of delivery whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
- Carry out patrols to the correct standards.
- Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out‑of‑hours security provision if applicable.
- Comply with site waste management procedures.
- Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site‑specific reports.
- Familiarise yourself with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise the Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
- Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal so that your skills remain up to date, particularly first aid and fire marshal training in accordance with legislative guidelines.
- Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your SIA licence must always be displayed.
- Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
