About the role
As a Loss Prevention Partner (LPP) in the Profit Protection team, you will add value to the efficiency and profitability of the shop where you are based and play an integral part of the team. Your day-to-day responsibilities include investigating trends, reporting on key themes regarding shrinkage, protecting fellow Partners and customers by patrolling the shop floor, deterring potential theft, and monitoring CCTV for signs of suspicious behaviour.
Due to the nature of the role you must be 18 years or older. You will work on a rota basis and will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities- Be a point of contact for branch Profit Protection related issues and elevate as required.
- Mitigate the risk of malicious harm to Partners and customers.
- Manage shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite.
- Address all aspects of shrinkage, including external and internal dishonesty, procedural failure, and administrative error.
- Support and coach fellow Partners on minimizing shrinkage and completing procedures correctly to protect profits.
- De‑escalate conflict situations in the shop professionally; at times you may be required to detain or ban individuals committing offences.
- Support with investigations where required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in resolving conflict.
- Great attention to detail with the ability to spot trends and signs of profit loss.
- Good customer service and relationship‑building skills.
- Previous experience of working in a loss prevention role and in a customer‑facing environment (not essential, as full training will be provided).
Varied hours of full‑time work (37.5 hours a week) across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends.
