Fire Extinguisher Technician

We’re looking for an experienced Portable Fire Extinguisher Engineer based in the South East (OX, SN and surrounding areas) to support our fast‑growing fire & security business across the UK. This role involves installing, servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers, hose reels and kitchen fire suppression systems for local clients.

Competitive OTE of £38,000‑£40,000, inclusive of basic salary, overtime, travel time and commission.

• Provide exceptional service and maintenance of fire extinguishers, hose reels and suppression systems for a diverse range of local clients.
• Install, service and maintain portable fire extinguishers, hose reels and kitchen fire suppression systems.
• Adhere to current industry standards and customer specifications.
• Plan and conduct service visits efficiently to meet customer needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Manage equipment and vehicle stock effectively.
• Contribute to a professional team environment while maintaining high service standards.

• Proven experience in the maintenance and servicing of fire extinguishers.
• Relevant qualifications such as BAFE, FETA or equivalent certification.
• Background in mechanical fire service or related technical fields.
• Strong customer‑service skills with clear, professional communication.
• Capability to work independently, diagnosing and resolving issues confidently.
• Willingness to travel as required and participate in ongoing training and development.
• Experience with additional mechanical fire systems is highly advantageous.
• A valid driver’s licence is required.
