Overview
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering contractor delivering mechanical installations and maintenance across industrial, utilities, and infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth, we’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the team.
Key Duties- Perform general mechanical duties, including installation and maintenance.
- Install and align mechanical equipment such as motors, gearboxes, and bearings.
- Fabricate and fit steel support systems.
- Conduct fault-finding and repair work on mechanical systems.
- Assist other disciplines (Electrical or Civils) when required.
- Ensure responsible use of a company vehicle.
- Work away from home on occasion (typically Monday-Friday).
- Follow all company and site-specific Health & Safety policies.
- Review and sign onto all relevant CPP/RAMS before starting work.
- Comply with Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.
- Maintain a strong safety-first attitude at all times.
- Mechanical apprenticeship or Level 3 Mechanical qualification (essential).
- CSCS Card holder (essential).
- Confined Space trained (desirable)
- Lifting Operations (CPCS) - desirable.
- First Aid - desirable.
- Health and Safety (IOSH) - desirable
