Electrical Inspector – Commercial Test & Inspection (2391)

Location:

Reading (regional coverage—you’ll become part cartographer, part compliance guru)

Salary: c. £50,000 OTE (£38,000 base, PLUS bonuses), a company van (with fuel card!), and solid benefits

Hours:

Normal working hours are days, however there are requirements for unsocial working to accommodate customer needs.

We’re an industry leading award‑winning safety specialist operating across five areas, focusing on our specialist Electrical Safety division. We specialise in fixed‑wire test & inspection (EICR's) of commercial and industrial premises. Each day is different.

• Running full‑scale inspections and tests on commercial and industrial fixed wiring and switch gear, and compiling EICRs that actually matter
• Spotting faults, logging, and explaining required fixes in clear English, not bureaucrat‑speak
• Using testing gear and reporting software efficiently
• Working independently, adapting daily and maintaining composure amid site challenges
• Staying up‑to‑date with EICR standards (BS 7671, IET wiring regs, City & Guilds credentials)

• Minimum 3 years of similar experience (Test & Inspect, remedial repairs, or compliance‑heavy work)
• Qualifications:
  
  City & Guilds 2391‑52 (or equivalent), NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition certificate
• Full UK driving licence (van is essential)
• Detail‑focused, self‑starting, professional, always anticipating potential issues

• £38K base salary, with bonuses driving you toward c. £50k OTE
