Reading - QSW - Assessment Team - Umb

Position: Reading - QSW - Assessment Team - upto £38 p/h Umb
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Assessment Team for Reading Borough Council.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Complete timely and high-quality single assessments for Children in Need and Child Protection cases.

* Deliver focused, time-limited interventions to prevent escalation and reduce the need for long-term statutory involvement.

* Work directly with children and families using a strengths-based approach to identify risk and protective factors.

* Manage a varied and dynamic caseload with reflective supervision and professional support.

* Support transitions to ongoing services where further intervention is required.

* Attend and contribute to ICPCs, CIN meetings and other statutory forums.

* Participate in the team duty rota, ensuring a responsive safeguarding service.

* Work in partnership with schools, health professionals and multi-agency partners to coordinate effective support plans.

Working Pattern:

* Hybrid - 5 days on duty during duty weeks

* 3 days office based during non-duty weeks

Pay Rate:

* Up to £38 p/h Umb

Essential Requirements:

* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent

* Social Work England Registration

* Experience with in Assessment, CIN or Child Protection Teams

* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding frameworks
