Salary: £16.46 per hour (£19,261.58 per annum actual; £32,102.63 per annum FTE)
Employment type: 12‑month contract (fixed term to June 2027)
Hours: 22.5 hours a week (open to discussion about distribution across term time and holidays)
The Children, Young People and Families Officer is a pivotal role managing the programme for visually impaired children and young people under 18 and their families across Berkshire. The role includes planning and delivering a programme of activities adapted for all levels of sight loss, with the aim of building children’s skills and supporting their development so they can become tomorrow’s independent visually impaired adults.
The successful candidate will build strong relationships with children of all ages and their families, work well leading their own project and as part of the wider team, be passionate about supporting people to live enriched lives, and work innovatively as an advocate for our services.
