JOB DETAILS
Salaray: £30,240 per annum (pro rata) + Benefits.
Job Type: Full‑time, Fixed‑term contract to 13 January 2027 (possible extension).
Location:
Hybrid working – on site and remote across the Thames Valley Region.
Working Hours:
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, including one evening session.
Behaviour Change Practitioner – a role that brings evidence‑based one‑to‑one and group interventions to adults and young people, building trust and promoting lasting and safe behavioural change.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct assessments, inductions and personalised intervention planning.
- Deliver CBT and DBT‑informed one‑to‑one and group programmes across community and custodial settings.
- Encourage participants to recognise and address harmful attitudes and behaviours.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and case documentation.
- Liaise with police, probation, prisons, safeguarding services and other agencies.
- Participate in MASH, MAPPA and other multi‑agency processes where appropriate.
- Attend clinical supervision, management supervision and ongoing professional development.
- Safely manage challenging situations whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
- Support the achievement of safer outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
- Previous experience working within safeguarding or risk‑management frameworks.
- Experience managing competing priorities and maintaining an organised workload.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Good administration, record‑keeping and digital communication skills.
- Experience providing support both face‑to‑face and remotely.
- Qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Probation or a related field.
- Understanding or experience of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
- Experience contributing to MASH, MAPPA or similar meetings.
- Experience delivering interventions within criminal justice, social care or domestic abuse services.
- Understanding of the psychological and social factors associated with harmful behaviours.
