Our client is a brand that is synonymous with the sporting world! This brand has been around for well over a century. Still, following a recent PE acquisition, they are now entering into a new period of growth that is going to have technology at the forefront.

A recent acquisition of a tech brand to their portfolio has fuelled the need for a brand new technology function. This company is steeped in history in the darts world, and its recent acquisition of a tech firm that develops auto‑scoring software means it needs forward‑thinking technologists to join the team.

They are now looking for a Automation Engineer to join their founding technology team and build their product from the ground up.

We’re looking for a skilled Automation Tester to join their cross‑functional product team working on their Autoscoring software. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll take ownership of automated testing across both front‑end and back‑end systems, helping ensure quality, performance, and reliability as our platform scales.

You’ll work closely with frontend, backend, mobile, hardware, and product teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and backend services
• Write and execute front‑end UI tests (React‑based applications)
• Create API and integration tests for Go‑based microservices
• Validate data integrity across REST APIs and SQL databases
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Support end‑to‑end testing across web, backend, and mobile integrations
• Collaborate in agile ceremonies, pair with developers, and contribute to code reviews
• Monitor and improve test coverage, reliability, and test performance

• Strong experience in test automation across frontend and backend systems
• Experience testing React web applications
• Experience testing REST APIs and backend services
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment
• Confident collaborating closely with developers and product teams

• Experience testing Go‑based systems
• Cloud experience (any major provider)
• SQL knowledge
• Sports, gaming, or connected‑device experience
• Experience testing distributed or microservices‑based systems
