Junior AI Engineer

We are an innovative Med Tech company developing AI‑powered technologies that are transforming patient care, diagnostics, and clinical decision‑making. As we continue to invest in artificial intelligence and machine learning, we are looking to expand our engineering team with the addition of a Junior AI Engineer.

We are looking to hire a Junior AI Engineer with a passion for artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early‑career engineer to work alongside experienced AI and software engineering professionals, developing intelligent solutions that have a real impact within the healthcare sector.

• A degree qualification (2:1 or above preferred) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, or another STEM discipline
• Strong programming skills in Python
• A genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI
• Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and model development
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• A willingness to learn and develop within a collaborative engineering environment

• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensor Flow, or Scikit‑learn
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering concepts
• Experience working with Git and version control systems
• Knowledge of SQL and working with structured datasets
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP would be beneficial
• Understanding of APIs and software integration principles
• Experience with computer vision, NLP, or healthcare datasets would be advantageous
• Knowledge of medical device software standards or regulated environments would be beneficial
• A passion for emerging AI technologies and continuous learning

• Supporting the design, development, and deployment of AI‑powered applications
• Building and testing machine learning models using real‑world healthcare data
• Preparing, cleaning, and analysing datasets for model training and evaluation
• Collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver AI solutions
• Researching and evaluating new AI techniques and technologies
• Assisting with the deployment, monitoring, and optimisation of machine learning models
• Contributing to technical documentation and following software development best practices
