Overview

Depot Operative with Driving – PPG, Basingstoke

Employment:
Full Time, Permanent

Working within a busy depot, duties vary from day to day and may include office-based processing, paint mixing, order picking, stock replenishment, and assisting with vehicle logistics. Occasional driving for customer site visits or deliveries may be required. Full training and ongoing development are provided.

• Ensure a high level of accuracy when picking customer orders.
• Work effectively across different roles as required.
• Maintain efficiency and utilisation in line with picking performance criteria.
• Align with health and safety regulations and undertake required training.
• Communicate effectively to build relationships with colleagues and uphold company values.
• Pick items for daily delivery and coordinate deliveries in a timely, efficient manner with appropriate records.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain client relationships.
• Report any problems with goods or services to Branch management in a timely manner.
• Collect accurate payments from customers as advised by Branch management and handle securely.
• Support daily vehicle logistics and route planning as required.

• Full UK Driving Licence essential (maximum 3 points).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to use IT equipment and complete required training and ongoing competence assurance.
• Organised approach to work with the ability to plan daily routes for deliveries.
• Structured in approach to tasks with ability to meet customer ETAs.
• Passion for delivering high quality customer service and driving business growth.
