HGV Class 1 Driver
Salary: £43,000 per annum plus nights out allowance.
Location:
Aldermaston, with travel throughout the UK and into Europe.
Flexibility required:
Your working week may include weekdays, overnight stays, weekends, early starts, late finishes, sometimes at short notice. Overtime available.
Securely load, transport and deliver specialised freight, including Dangerous Goods (UN Hazardous Classes 1‑9 such as explosives and radioactive material), as well as sensitive and prohibited items to client sites in accordance with ADR legislation.
Qualifications- Valid clean driving licence held for at least 2 years.
- ADR 1‑9 certification (mandatory; full training will be provided).
- Commercial driving experience advantageous.
- Physically fit, able to load and unload vehicles.
- Team player – work often double‑manned.
- Strong customer service ethos.
- Undergo security vetting.
- Valid HGV C+E licence.
- Desirable: ADR certification.
- Proven experience as a commercial driver.
- Familiarity with flatbed driving.
- Ability to prioritise safety and security while on the road.
- Proof of 5 years UK residency.
