DELIVERY DRIVER / WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE – READING (RG6)
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

We are currently looking for a reliable, hardworking and physically fit Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our team based in Reading (RG6).
This is a varied, hands-on role combining local deliveries to motor factors within an approximate 50-mile delivery radius of Reading with general warehouse duties. You will be responsible for ensuring automotive parts and supplies are delivered safely, accurately and on time, while also supporting the warehouse team once your delivery run has been completed.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:30
Every other Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00
Saturday work is 4 hours per shift, approximately 2 Saturdays per month.

Key Responsibilities Delivery Duties

Driving a company-provided van to deliver automotive parts and supplies to motor factors.
Delivering within an approximate 50-mile radius of Reading (RG6).
Completing up to 15 delivery drops per delivery run.
Delivering a wide variety of automotive products, including:

Nuts, bolts and fixings.
Vehicle mirrors and fittings.
Starter motors.
Spark plugs.
Brake discs.
Vehicle bulbs and lighting.
Car batteries.
Oils, fluids and other automotive supplies.
Ensuring all items are delivered to the correct locations and handed over appropriately.
Handling goods carefully to avoid damage during loading, transportation and unloading.
Maintaining a professional and helpful attitude when dealing with motor factor customers.
Ensuring the delivery van is kept clean, tidy and in good condition.

Warehouse Duties
Once your delivery run has been completed, you will be expected to assist with general warehouse operations. This is an important part of the position, and the role is not solely driving.
Warehouse responsibilities will include:

Sorting and organising returned automotive parts.
Checking and processing customer returns.
Putting stock away in the correct locations.
Assisting with general stock handling and organisation.
Helping maintain a clean, tidy and organised warehouse.
Supporting other warehouse duties as required by the team.

Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position, and heavy lifting and manual handling are a regular part of the role.
You will be required to load and unload a variety of automotive parts, some of which can be heavy or awkward to handle, including car batteries, brake discs, starter motors and other vehicle components.
Applicants must be comfortable with regular manual handling, lifting and being on their feet throughout the working day.

Previous delivery driving or warehouse experience would be beneficial.
Pay & Additional Information
£12.71 per hour.
Weekly pay, paid every Friday.
Company van provided for work-related deliveries only.
Based in Reading, RG6.
Deliveries within an approximate 50-mile radius.
Monday to Friday working pattern with every other Saturday morning.
