Purpose and Scope:
The Supply Clerk orders, receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records in a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard by performing the following duties.
Essential Responsibilities:- Utilizes AMRO and ILS-S computer systems to order parts and equipment.
- Compiles reports on consumption of stocked items, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage or damage to stocked items, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
- Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices and examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
- Maintains inventory and other stock records of assigned supplies and equipment.
- Performs inventory, pack and unpack of Mobility Readiness Spares Packages.
- Requisition s articles to fill accounts and marks identifying codes on articles.
- Fills orders or issues supplies from stock while keeping records of material issued.
- Uses Material Handling Equipment as required to move material to other departments.
- Makes adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock.
- Determines methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering humidity, temperature, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and space.
- Cuts stock to size to fill order.
- Accepts recommended additions to bench stock from workers, provided history with recommendation to supervisor for consideration.
- Maintains shop tools in working condition, reports damaged tools and requisitions replacements.
- Builds up individual tool kits for various crafts using established tools list.
- Inventories, signs out/in tool kits and maintains records.
- Stocks replacement tool items to replenish kits as approved by supervisors.
- Tracks shelf life of inventory.
- Receives and stores HAZMAT.
- May be required to operate a forklift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) to Three (3) years of related experience.
- Experience with USAF Supply functions preferred.
- Must be proficient in Office software applications to communicate through e‑mail and various software applications; especially Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to meet required deadlines and maintain necessary workflow.
- Ability to read and write and comprehend/interpret data.
- Forklift experience may be required.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Must have authorization to work in host country.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
