Warehouse Operatives

Pertemps Reading is seeking Warehouse Operatives to join a busy team in Reading. This full-time, temporary position runs Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, paying £12.71 per hour. The role centres on quality assurance, requiring strong attention to detail and prior warehouse or checking experience. Daily duties include inspecting incoming packages, verifying labels against delivery notes, and ensuring correct placement into dispatch cages.

You will also support general warehouse tasks. Counterbalance and Reach forklift operation is desirable but not essential. This position suits individuals who maintain accuracy in repetitive work and can reliably account for all received goods. Quality Assurance Warehouse Operative

• Complete daily quality checks on incoming packages.
• Verify labels match delivery notes and are correctly positioned.
• Ensure all received packages are accounted for and placed into the correct cages for dispatch.
• Support general warehouse duties throughout the day.
• Operate Counterbalance and Reach forklifts where required (desirable).

• Previous experience carrying out quality checks within a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks.
• Good organisational skills and accuracy.
• GCSE English Grade C/4 or above.
• Desirable Counterbalance and Reach forklift certification.
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
