Senior Tax Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to support a long-term contract opportunity based in Red Bank, New Jersey. This position focuses heavily on preparing individual income tax filings while also contributing to broader tax compliance work in a collaborative office environment. The role is well suited for a hands-on, detail-oriented tax specialist who is comfortable working with tax software, managing deadlines, and delivering accurate results with minimal oversight.

This role is onsite 3 days a week in Red Bank, NJ. Strong experience with tax return prepataion in public accounting is required.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review a high volume of individual tax returns with strong attention to accuracy, completeness, and filing deadlines.
• Assist with business tax engagements, including the preparation of corporate tax returns and related supporting schedules.
• Gather, organize, and analyze financial and tax documentation to ensure filings are compliant with current regulations.
• Use tax preparation software effectively and adapt quickly to firm tools and workflows, including platforms such as Pro Connect when applicable.
• Communicate with internal tax leadership regarding return status, open issues, and items requiring clarification or follow-up.
• Research tax questions and apply relevant guidance to support accurate reporting across client engagements.
• Maintain thorough work papers and documentation to support completed returns and facilitate efficient review processes.
• Contribute in a hybrid work setting, balancing in-office collaboration in Red Bank, New Jersey with independent execution of assigned tax responsibilities.
