The Automotive Technician role is a hands‑on entry‑level position that develops foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Responsibilities include routine inspections, vehicle assessments and repair procedures. Technicians may interact with customers to explain repair procedures, answer inquiries and provide exceptional service.

• Perform oil changes and other scheduled maintenance services.
• Inspect steering, suspension and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and install parts.
• Road‑test vehicles.
• Obtain and maintain ASE certifications in at least one of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment.

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Valid automobile driver’s license at all times and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance and tire repair services, including oil changes, basic inspections and tire repair.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

• 2 years of automotive repair experience or completion of a vocational‑technical school program in a related field.
• ASE certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications.
