Technical Service Specialist – Eaton
Eaton’s FFD Fluid Filtration Division is currently hiring a Technical Service Specialist. This full‑time position works Monday–Friday daytime hours, and can be hybrid‑remote (two days a week from home). It is available at Eaton’s Chanhassen, MN and Tinton Falls, NJ locations.
The expected annual salary range is $67,500.00–$99,000.00. The role also participates in a variable incentive program.
What You’ll DoThe Technical Service Specialist is a key product knowledge resource for sales, customer service, and project coordination. They use their expertise in filtration products to educate internal and external partners, review incoming requests for proposal, and develop accurate and competitive techno‑commercial proposals in collaboration with the sales team and channel partners.
Job Responsibilities- Serve as a technical resource supporting North America and global sales teams, distributors, and product end users with accurate product and application knowledge.
- Develop and produce professional techno‑commercial proposal packages for standard and configurable filtration product lines.
- Evaluate commercial and technical requirements of requests for proposal, advise customers of conflicts, and recommend changes.
- Review incoming project orders and forward them to engineering and project coordination teams.
- Assist in facilitating in‑house and field training on filter sizing, pricing, application, and function to build market channels’ filter‑system knowledge.
- Maintain current market knowledge and other job skills through field study, internal and external educational opportunities, and industry affiliations.
- Provide feedback to engineering and sales teams to support new product and market development.
- Assist marketing and pricing teams in developing and maintaining product literature and price guides.
- Analyze data and prepare quarterly reports on product‑line sales performance.
- Participate in periodic ad‑hoc projects to support sales, marketing, and operations goals.
- Engage in intradepartmental learning and cross‑training to broaden product knowledge.
- Support the customer service team by responding to customer phone calls and emails as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution AND (minimum 1 year of experience in industrial technical sales, manufacturing operations, or engineering) OR (minimum 4 years of such experience).
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- No relocation benefit is offered. Only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of Chanhassen, MN or Tinton Falls, NJ will be considered (Active‑Duty Military Service members are exempt).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or physical science from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of industrial liquid filtration applications.
- Experience working with Salesforce or another CRM system.
- Experience with an industrial manufacturing ERP platform.
