The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting residents in fulfilling specific dietary requirements to promote health and well‑being. They also assist the Dietary Manager in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Services Department in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and facility policies to ensure quality food service and nutritional care.

• One year of experience in a dietary position preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred

• Prepare and cook food dishes, deliver food to residents, and assist kitchen staff in maintaining a clean, sanitary workplace
• Review department policies, procedures, manuals, and position descriptions at least annually and participate in recommending changes to stay current on facility protocols
• Interpret policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, and family members as necessary
• Prepare meals, snacks, and beverages following specific procedures
• Serve meals, ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times
• Take inventory of kitchen supplies and food items
• Set up and take down dining areas and assist with kitchen maintenance and general cleaning
• Assist with educational programs on nutrition

• Must possess a high school diploma
• Previous experience as a Dietary Aide preferred; bonus experience in cost control, food management, or diet therapy is a plus
• Reliable transportation required
