Overview

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Performs patient treatments under the general supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This may include patient transfers; preparing patients and equipment; performing treatments and other duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
Education: Current license or pending by the Alabama State Board of Physical Therapy. CPR certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Experience: As a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Additional Skills/Abilities:

• Complete hospital and department orientation.
• Ability to manage a sometimes stressful work environment subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
• Ability and willingness to work long, irregular hours.
• Frequently be required to assist patient lifting, transfers, exercise, ambulation, whirlpools, etc.
• Sustain a fixed posture against resistance.
