Locums Hematology Oncology opportunity in Red Bluff, CA where Outpatient coverage and remote call for the Infusion Center paying $475 hourly is needed. Here are some of the details:

SCHEDULE : M-Th 7:00 AM-5:30PM with night call then 24hr remote call coverage Fri-Sun

• Board Certified in Oncology AND Hematology - PREFERRED - Will consider Board Eligible. (Can accept providers boarded in Oncology OR Hematology)
• CA License - REQUIRED
• Medical Oncology Fellowship - REQUIRED
• CA DEA, BLS, ACLS - REQUIRED
• Clean Malpractice/background - PREFERRED
• Availability at time of name clear - REQUIRED

JOB DESCRIPTION :

• Solo coverage
• No hospital consults required
• No oncology inpatient services at local hospital.
• Oncologist provides outpatient chemotherapy and infusions
• Average daily census: 10 patients per day(1-2 of those being new patients)
• Current call coverage: 24/7 each week with around 5 calls per day
• 7 infusion chairs
• Average callback hours:
  None - provider is not called back in. Remotely called.
• FTE: 1.0 FTE
• Duties:
• All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients.
• MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services.
• Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies.
• Required Procedures: N/A. Bone Marrow Biopsies are referred to outside provider
• EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
• Support Staff: 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusions RNs.
• Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 days
