Certified Public Accountant

Our client is seeking a CPA with public practice experience to join their growing accounting team in Red Deer, Alberta
. This role is ideal for a designated CPA with a couple of years of experience who is comfortable working independently and handling a variety of client files across tax and assurance-related engagements.

This is an on-site role in a smaller office environment, offering meaningful client exposure and responsibility from day one.

• Prepare Compilation (Notice to Reader) financial statements
• Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns
• Assist with tax planning and compliance for owner-managed businesses
• Communicate directly with clients and respond to day-to-day inquiries
• Work collaboratively with team members across offices as needed
• Manage multiple files and deadlines during busy season

• CPA designation (Canada)
• 2+ years of public accounting experience
• Strong experience with:
  Compilations
• Corporate tax returns
• Personal tax returns
• Comfortable working with privately held / owner-managed businesses
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a smaller office setting

• Experience with review engagements (audit experience not required)
• Exposure to bookkeeping or advisory work
• Experience supporting family-owned or mid-sized businesses

• Broad exposure to tax and accounting work across multiple client types
• A hands-on role with real ownership of files
• Support from a larger firm structure while working in a smaller local office
