Senior Accountant – Hotel Operations (Contract)

Contract (Potential for Extension including up to full time for the right fit)

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Senior Accountant – Hotel Operations for a leading hospitality client in Red Deer.

This is a high-impact contract role for an experienced accounting professional with strong hospitality or hotel finance experience who thrives in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment.

• Prepare daily revenue and labour reporting
• Manage monthly financial statements and reporting packages
• Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations
• Complete accruals (AP, AR, vacation, operational)
• Support month-end/year-end close
• Prepare and file GST and regulatory reports
• Conduct variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Partner with operations leaders to support cost control and financial performance

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Hospitality / hotel accounting experience strongly preferred
• CPA (or pursuing) is an asset
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting & financial reporting
  
  Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Sage (preferred)
• Exposure to Opera, Clear, or Business Central is an asset

• Deadline‑driven in fast‑paced environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration
