BDO Canada is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to contribute to the Expatriate Tax Services team. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a CPA or in progress, and three to five years of public accounting experience specializing in Canadian tax with familiarity in US tax. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to navigate tax challenges while leveraging innovative strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and audit Canadian and US personal income tax returns

• Conduct research on expatriate tax issues and document findings

• Manage audits and negotiations with tax authorities

• Create and recommend strategies for clients' tax benefits

• Analyze tax filing positions for accuracy and compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline

• Near completion of CPA designation required

• Experience in Canadian tax and understanding of US tax beneficial

• Strong grasp of relevant tax legislation and compliance

• Enrollment in advanced tax coursework preferred
