Become a vital part of the Urban Health and Homelessness Services team as a Relief Receptionist. Engage with community members to provide vital information and referral services.
This role places you at the center of our operations, managing a multi-line phone system and serving as a communication link within the department. You will handle calls professionally, ensuring client confidentiality and connecting individuals with the necessary services, while also assisting the Administrative team with various duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and manage a VOIP communication system
• Redirect crisis calls to qualified staff members
• Refer clients to appropriate resources for support
• Handle mail delivery and storage efficiently
• Collaborate with UHHS Administrative peers
Requirements:
• At least two years of work experience in a similar field
• Experience in client service within social services
• Strong, proactive communication skills
• Familiarity with community services for homeless individuals
• Competence in using computer applications
