18 hours weekly following the school operational calendar; schedule to be determined with the successful applicant. Commencing August 24, 2026. This is a continuous 10‑month position.
Salary grid is $19.09 to $27.61 per hour, grid placement is determined based on qualifications and experience.
Are you a detail oriented professional who takes pride in accuracy and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? Join our Central Services team and play a key role in safeguarding the integrity of the Division’s purchasing card program. This administrative work directly supports schools and staff across the division.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will assist with the day‑to‑day administration of the Division’s purchasing card (P‑Card) program, providing essential support to the Central Services accounting team and direct assistance to cardholders.
- Auditing transaction receipts to ensure full completeness and documentation.
- Verifying cardholder data entry for system accuracy and formatting.
- Cross‑referencing submissions against established Division financial policies.
- Post‑secondary certificate or diploma in office administration, bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field (an equivalent combination of education and course‑specific training may be considered).
- Minimum of two years of clerical office experience that includes processing financial documents, verifying records, or handling high‑volume digital paperwork.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain financial policies to division staff in a supportive and professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy, with the ability to review a large volume of transaction records for policy compliance while consistently meeting monthly accounting deadlines.
- Competency navigating specialized financial software and email inboxes (experience with Atrieve ERP, BMO Spend Dynamics and/or Google Suite/Gmail is a definite asset).
- An independent worker with the critical thinking skills to research discrepancies and the judgment to seek clarification when needed.
