The CLC Fitness and Recreation Center is co-owned and operated by both Olds College and Chinook’s Edge School Division using a business model to serve multiple clients from both institutions and Olds and area. Reporting to the Manager of Community Learning Campus Fitness and Recreation, the CLC Fitness Clerk supports the operation of the Community Learning Campus Fitness and Recreation Centre through the delivery of high-quality client service, precise administrative and financial support, and assistance with program coordination.
This role upholds a safe, organized, and client-focused environment that aligns with institutional standards and objectives.
NOTE:
This is a 5:15am to 1:30pm position, Monday to Friday

Job Functions:
Administrative Functions
Deliver prompt, courteous, and professional assistance to clients, ensuring a positive experienceRespond to client inquiries, concerns, complaints in a timely, and efficient mannerFoster strong relationships with clients, offering consistent support and building trustAdminister, schedule, and fulfill orders for Outdoor Centre rental equipmentCoordinate staff availability and assist in the development of employee work schedulesAssist with the training and onboarding of new staff membersAccurately enter and manage data related to fitness and recreation facility bookingsMaintain accurate data entry, ensuring proper updates to systems or databases for record-keeping and reporting purposesOversee filing and storage of documents to ensure security, organization, and accessibility of recordsPerform general administrative tasks to support the seamless operations of the Community Learning Campus Fitness and Recreation Centre.Financial Responsibilities
Ensure the accurate processing of registrations, membership sales, payments, and client transactions with meticulous attention to detailOversee daily deposit reconciliation and generate corresponding financial reportsProgramming
May assist with the coordination and delivery of recreation programs, including but not limited to youth programs, events, and IntramuralsHealth & Safety
Clean, organize and assist in maintenance of fitness & recreation equipmentEnsure the safety and well-being of the clientele by enforcing fitness center rules and regulationsPossess a practical understanding of fitness equipment and its proper usageThe employee is responsible for being aware of health and safety responsibilities and expectations as outlined in college policy, departmental and area procedures, and provincial legislationThe employee will attend training as required by the supervisors and conduct work in a manner that protects the health and safety of themselves and othersEducation/Experience/Skills/Knowledge Required
Minimum of High School Diploma. Post-secondary education in administration or accounting is considered an asset. Coursework in computer applications and office administration is also beneficial.Minimum six (6) months related work experienceCurrent First Aid & CPR certificationStrong interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrate excellent organization and time management skillsMakes decisions with our Community partners, stakeholders, and the sectors we serve in mind, demonstrating the value of relationship building.Act…
