Role DescriptionThe Site Superintendent is a full-time, on-site position based in Red Deer, AB. The role involves overseeing all phases of construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines. Responsibilities include coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, supervising on‑site activities, managing schedules and workflows, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations. The Site Superintendent will work closely with the construction manager and other team members to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Qualifications- Proven experience in project management, scheduling, and construction site coordination.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in construction management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to direct and motivate subcontractors and construction staff.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities to oversee multiple phases of construction.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and negotiation skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders and vendors.
- Proficiency in construction software and tools used for scheduling and project documentation is a plus.
- Experience working with modular construction methods or retirement living projects is highly desirable.
- Valid safety certifications (such as WHMIS, First Aid, or equivalent) and a valid driver's license.
- Diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
