Roads Labour Foreperson

Contribute to road safety maintenance as a Roads Labour Foreperson 2 for the City of Red Deer. Oversee snow and ice control while supervising a team and ensuring safety.

In this vital role within the City of Red Deer, you will coordinate road maintenance and snow management efforts to meet quality standards. This position requires a dynamic leader with a proven background in construction, management skills, and the ability to operate heavy machinery. You'll enforce safety protocols and efficiently utilize resources to support effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage snow and ice maintenance tasks

• Lead and train work crews to meet productivity goals

• Ensure compliance with all safety policies

• Coordinate traffic control, equipment, and site preparation

• Maintain accurate reports and documentation

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent education

• Minimum Level One Certified Public Works Supervisor designation

• 3.5 years experience in construction and maintenance

• Valid Alberta Class 3 Driver's License

• Ability to operate heavy machinery and tools
