Position Overview
The Parking Attendant plays an important role in delivering a safe, organized, and welcoming guest experience during Westerner Days taking place July 15–19, 2026. Reporting to the General Manager, Facilities & Park Operations, this position is responsible for directing vehicle traffic, assisting guests and vendors with parking, and supporting efficient traffic flow throughout Westerner Park.
This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced outdoor event environment while ensuring guests receive excellent customer service and clear direction upon arrival and departure.
The Parking Attendant contributes to the overall success of Westerner Days by supporting safe parking operations, maintaining efficient vehicle flow, and helping create a positive guest experience at Westerner Park.
Key Areas of Responsibility- Direct vehicles safely and efficiently to designated parking areas throughout Westerner Park.
- Assist guests with parking inquiries, directions, and general event information.
- Monitor traffic flow and support congestion management during peak arrival and departure periods.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members regarding parking capacity, traffic concerns, and operational updates.
- Assist with setup and removal of parking signage, barricades, cones, and traffic control equipment.
- Monitor designated parking areas to ensure compliance with parking procedures and safety standards.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service while interacting with guests, vendors, and staff.
- Respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns or traffic‑related issues and escalates concerns when required.
- Support the successful delivery of Westerner Days by contributing to safe, organized, and efficient parking operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent (completed or in progress) preferred.
- Previous customer service, parking, traffic control, or event experience considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑traffic outdoor environment.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when managing guest or traffic concerns.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout shifts.
- Availability to work all required shifts during Westerner Days from July 15–19, 2026, including days, evenings, weekends, and extended hours based on operational needs.
